Wie funktioniert es?

Our data collection is done via a small application which runs on Windows. It sits quietly in your system tray, periodically sending information on entities (monsters and npcs), items, quests, your profile, and various other small bits of information to Curse. The client poses no security threat to your system and we do not collect any personal information such as email addresses or passwords.

The client itself is not a hack and does not provide any advantage over other players. All it does is collect harmless information about objects in the game.

What do we collect?

Wie oben erwähnt, sammeln wir nur Daten, die für unsere Datenbanken wichtig sind, keine persönlichen Daten oder Passwörter werden gespeichert. Daten, die von den Spielen gesammel werden umfassen:

• Gegenstandsstatistik
• Informationen über Instanzen (NPCs, Monster und interagierende Gegenstände) inklusive was sie Dropen und wo sie Spawnen.
• Quest information, inklusive welche Umgebungs-/Questgegenstände sie geben und welche sie beenden.
• Instanzen Informationen (Zonen und Orte)
• Your character's profile and statistics

What games do we collect from?

Currently we only collect from two games. More may be added in the near future.

Wie kann ich Helfen?

Um Daten zu Curse übermitteln zu können, musst du dir zuerst einen Account Registrieren. Wenn du einen Account hast, solltest du den Installer runterladen. Nach der Installation wirst du nach deinem Usernamen und Passwort gefragt. Gebe deinen Usernamen und dein Passwort für Curse ein, nicht deine Logindaten für das Spiel. Einmal eingeloggt wird der Client selbstständig arbeiten. Du kannst den Status abrufen oder die Konfiguration ändern indem du das Symbol in der Task-Leiste benutzt.

The client allows you to bind a hotkey to take screenshots while you're playing games. When you are finished playing it will let you review the screenshots you've taken and upload the select screenshots to your profile automatically.

Was nun?

After you've begun submitting data you may notice some new additions to your account. If we've detected your character you'll be able to display the gear and abilities of that character on your profile, as well as choose a "primary character" for displaying elsewhere (such as on forum posts). To display your character you must first mark it as visible in the character administration.

Was ist "Install Package"?

On every project page, you will see an icon with the text "Install Package". With the Curse Client installed, this button functions as a one-click download/install/extract for your addon projects. Save time and effort by using the Curse Client to install your addons for you!
